lift out (Sunday Times) the writer Kerry Heaney reviews some of the upper end resorts and restaurants.
However, she states that a few days on the island drives out memory of a "rocky start".
The article goes on to say (her words not mine) "But some things haven't changed and one of those was the look on the Customs Officers face when he surveyed the overcrowded, hot room packed with tourists fresh off the plane and eager to enter his country.
What his look should have told me was be prepared for a three hour standing wait. Not nice and not fun".
I see nothing else in the article, the rest of which is very positive, to indicate that Ms Heaney has any hidden agendas for making these observations.
Recent posts indicate improvements in waiting times which is good, but it seems that not all of the arrivals processing procedures are ironed out completely.
I guess ongoing reports throughout the coming high season will tell the story.
