A lot quieter than Kuta. You could also try a bike tour. They will pick you up from your hotel in the morning, take you up to the cat pooh coffee plantation, breakfast at the volcano then a mountain bike ride down thru villages. Lunch is at the guides family compound. Costs about $45. I'm doing it in May so I can't tell you much more about it yet! I booked thru Bali Baik tours. You can book then pay on the day.
