Older 50,000 notes

Hi, my last trip was 2005 and I have a fair bit of rupiah left over, but I noticed after getting some new 50,000 notes from the bank in Melbourne today that they look totally different from my 50,000 notes back from 2005! Can I still use them in Bali? If not, can I change them anywhere for new notes? Would I do this in Australia or Bali?
