and again at 13 months! At 4 months old it was really easy- hired steriliser and baby car seat (we drive ourselves in Bali usually)from Bali Baby Hire, portacot came with the hotel- although note they usually stuff a cot full of bumpers and pillows and stuff which you might want to remove- the mozzie net is the only thing you'll want on the cot. Baby was not eating yet so just had his usual formula (took some from home but also topped up with more S-26 at Carrefour), boiled bottled water in the room's kettle and had a supply of Milton's tablets from home to sterlise his dummies (small plastic container brought from home). Also took a few "ready made" tetra paks of formula. Took our own layback folding stroller and sun shade, also muslin wraps to wrap and for shade. You can of course hire a pram or stroller. Took a 'hug-a-bub'-kind of like a soft wrapping baby bjorn- which was useful while waiting at Immigration, also for a few rocky places where the pram couldn't go. The Balinese, as I'm sure you've heard, LOVE babies- your bub will get a LOT of attention from women and men as you walk down the street and at every shop and restaurant. Enjoy it! Bought a floating blow-up toy aeroplane at the stall outside Carrefour which bub floated in around the hotel pool- don't forget a good hat. Carrefour have a good selection of nappies, formula, baby food, wipes, clothes etc etc for bub so don't panic if you need something. Have a great trip!!
