you have to try it yourself and even then each time you travel it could be a different experience. I have paid in US dollars and Aus. I will now only pay in US dollars, I get it from the post office well in advance, I change the minimum amount and just use the dollars for the VOA each trip, sometimes the exchange rate is good sometimes not!
When I paid in Aus dollars I gave the teller the $30.00, then he asked for more so another $5.00 was handed over, I should have probably stood my ground and said that $30.00 was enough but not knowing the exchange rate they work on, and it changes all the time I just gave in.
