I see now that all sites are saying they were rescued from a circus.

Originally owned by a German gentleman & his Indonesian wife.
Had the hotel & a zoo & then the dolphins
Was a lot of uproar re the treatment of the caged animals at the hotel , their environment & how they were used for performing tricks

Also saw that recently the hotel was up for sale..
Are the 2 German people you mention the new owners?
If so hopefully the new owners will make some positive differences

As for a beautiful experience I suppose that depends whether you are getting poked with the penis of the male dolphins and/or are getting pushed around.
For some it's a bit frightening
One would assume that the therapy dolphins are a lot more docile in their interaction & behaviour with humans.

There are those for and against Melka and either way it's a personal choice, but in the end it's still a commercial/money making exercise
