glass bowls in hand luggage?

Hi, I was hoping someone could answer a question for me? I would love to buy a glass bowl or plate (the green glass style from Ubud area) and bring it home in my hand luggage. Is this possible or would it be classed as a dangerous item or weapon? I wouldn't like to trust it to the checked in luggage. Thanks for your help, Kymba.
