a rather nice email to Ramayana Management to get ibu saya out of a compulsory Christmas Dinner of $100USD. She was staying different hotel to myself and we had a table at a friends restaurant in Seminyak booked for Christas Dinner at a quarter of the price.
They allowed her to exclude Christmas due to circumstances however New Years they wouldn't which was $150USD! Lucky she was leaving day before.
ps. sometimes you can get out if you say you would like to stay at their hotel, but are worried regarding the complusory dinners. Just keep their email as backup if they agree to waiver.
