We (6 of us)stayed in 3 standard rooms last July
Older style, hugh rooms, big balcony/patio. Nothing flash but ok for the time we spent in them. Yes the bathrooms are aging with shower screen leaking but still clean no mould.
Our ground floor room was in front of the laundry down near the pool. A great outlook & only heard noise from laundry in the bathroom in the mornings. No noise in the bedroom.
If you can afford the deluxe rooms they are new & stylish but if not then I would still take the standard rooms
