about 1 month - before we finally got the issue resolved - this was with BNI which has a branch in London - so I assumed it would be relatively simple. I have since used BII for international transfers with very few problems.
They have Commonwealth here so if you are sending money from Australia it might be worth seeing if you can send to a Commonwealth bank to reduce the risks and the costs.
