Cable ties also

I use cable ties on all the locks except one pocket which I use a normal small padlock and I keep some extra cable ties in the padlocked pocket and a pair of scissors to cut the cable ties off.

On two occasions I have had to open suitcases at the airport, and its an easy process to open the padlock cut the cable tie and then replace it.

I agree that if someone wants into your bag they will find a way regardless of what you have on there.
