we've never had a Balinese ask us for money, in fact today I was offered some shoes as I had a hole in my shoe, quite embarrassing really when you are standing in an old ladies compound and she offers you shoes....I joked I had no money and she laughed and said she would get her son who lives in Legian to buy me some. Makes me think I better smarten up my appearance if no-ones asking me for money. LOL
