In all seriousness, a hotel safe on overseas travel is a must.
You could buy a money belt that you conceal under your clothing, do not mistake it with a bum bag. The money belt is worn underneath your clothing and cannot be seen at all. I am sure they would sell them in bali. ask at matahari or Discovery mall, Kuta. Street crime in bali is very low, the penelties for offenders are severe. I have walked around on the streets of bali at all hours of the day and night and never felt any danger, but still you never know.
You could load up your debit master or visa card, just be very aware of card skimming, when you pay for something using the card be sure not to let the card out of your site as it may be skimmed of your info.
If you load the card and withdraw small amounts at a time, most banks will charge aprox $15 per atm transaction.
