we spend 100 between us these days, mostly because we go so often for 5/6 weeks at a time and don't want to shop much. That amount is apart from accom and airfares.
We started eating at little warungs because we like Indonesian food and many restaurants "bland it down" for tourists and found, bonus! big saving too. If we are on the beach our lunch will commonly cost us Rp.10,000 - 20,000 for example, plus drinks.
Food prices have gone up but so too has the Aussie $ so I don't find it much dearer than before really. Can you remember what the exchange rate was in 2004?
