Last year we stayed for a few of nights in their family room. The guesthouse grounds are small and it is a quiet establishement. And yes the gardens are pretty and the whole place is very much like that.

The rooms we had were large and our beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were very simple and not all that attractive. But I think the rates reflect that it is not five star in that respect.

The pool is very small and the best thought of as a place for a cool down; not so much to lie around. In fact I don't recall if there were loungers there!! It wouldn't matter as all rooms are very close to the pool.

When we asked for pool towels, an assortment of old and rather thin towls were produced and they looked as though they had been left by previous guests. So maybe if you stay it would be best to take your own.

The food in the cafe out the front was very good and well priced. We had our complimentary breakfasts there and had one dinner which we enjoyed. Many guests staying at the Mecure and other establishments seem to frequent the cafe for coffee an cake. They make things like lemon meringue pie and carrot cake if I recall correctly. All looked delicious.

We had a lovely verandah to sit on which we did in the afternoons to have a quiet drink. Other guests would do the same and maybe read a book. We would happily stay there again.
