I always enjoy going to Tropical Bale and having a leisurely lunch, it's reasonably priced and pretty creative food - get your hotel to call them and they will pick you up and drop you back (although it's a nice walk downhill, mostly, back to central Ubud).
Shopping, I usually pay a visit to Tegun Galeri, it's a fixed price souvenir shop and the prices I have paid are less that what I can get bargaining (although my skills in this area are poor to say the least) address is Jl Hanoman 44
