online using a non-Indo credit card. And Bangsal harbour is not as bad as people make out, its actually fun in a travelling kind of a way. There are two things to remember though; dont believe a word of anything the touts tell you (No, the ticket office is not closed, no, you are not at the wrong place, no, the last boat has not departed) and taxis cannot pick you up from the harbour itself. There is a taxi terminus about 200 metres from the harbour and it is very easy to get a taxi from there.
