Cocco, They resort was just trying to upsell me. I decided to book the cheaper rooms thru their website (they will charge 1 nights cost on your cc) and then decide when I get there.
I did upgrade to the family chalet (Extra $20usd per room per night, which was a good rate). They didn't charge any extra for my 5yo.
RE rate as the nights are based on USD you are taking a chance that the dollar may drop and you may be paying more in AUD- If you are worried about this the only way to secure price is to go thru agent/online company and pay in full. I prefer to take my chances and pay when I get there.
All the new rooms are next to the new lagoon pool. the chalets are scattered around the resort. You can get onto Padma website and find the resort layout. Stayed the last 10 occasions at the Dynasty. Just returned from 3 nights Dynasty, 8 nights Padma. The main difference is the size- Padma is huge. I loved Legian beach area and being that little bit closer to Seminyak restaurants. Kids Club at Padma- quiet, clean, great staff, no swimming, opened until 8.30pm. My kids did prefer Dynasty though.
