Hi all,
I was going to wait a couple of days before posting this jbr but may aswell while all is fresh in my mind.
Left brisbane on Sunday the 13th flying with Pacific Blue, nothing out of the ordinary left on time and arrived 1/2 hour earlier than scheduled.
Only having been to bali once before, we now are experiencing the bus ride to the arrivals hall,nothing out of the ordinary with this but we did find the VOA payment counters have moved within the arrivals hall.
So we move on to collect our bags and found we waited quite a while longer for them to arrive, I suspect because of the plane parked away from the terminal it takes longer for bags to arrive.
Out we go to meet our pre-arranged driver and by the way lucky bali driver .com is well worth it, not only price but his english and conversation is excellent.
Then we head to FEBRIS which we did not stay at on our last trip which was only Oct last year.
From when we checked in until we checked out we could not fault any of the staff.
Our room was ready at 2.30 pm and had all the usual equipment needed for the week, a/c, satelitte TV, bigger than usual COLD fridge, kettle and coffee making facilities.
Wandered down for a bite to eat and a cold bintang, not a bad selection on the menu, some things really well priced, others were a little dearer compared to to other places.
Our favourite was from the european section comprising of a chicken parma but the weird bit was it comes on a bed of spaghetti, sounds weird but really nice and only 46.000Rp.
Time for a quick swim before haeding out to check out our surroundings...Found the pool to be very satisfying, given the amount of lounges we never went without this probably been because people seemed to come back to resort for a cool down then out to dinner or shopping.
Cant fault the poolside food and drink service and they offer to book it to your room or pay cash.
Breakfast was more than plentyful, good selection of food, cold and hot drinks, there were a couple of different dishes changed like cream spuds 1 day and something different the next but I think a complete change would be welcome If staying longer than 2 weeks.
Also Febris give complimentary massage deals depending on how long your stay is,as we stayed 7 days we got a full massage at a discount rate of 22.000Rp
One highlight for customer service occured mid week when one of us celebrated a birthday and we returned to our room to find housekeeping had made decorations of swans and rabbits with our towels on the beds(very thoughtful I thought).
As for stray cats we did not see any at all but in saying that we traveled with our 7yo daughter and were tucked up watchin a movie by 10pm most nights.
Great hotel for the price as we always get what we pay for.....
