so I will try again. Lots of good cheap eating on and near Mertasari Beach. The satats from the little local warung are really good. I am on a bit of a tight budget and to be honest one night they gave me 4 free ones that dropped on the sand. I believe in the 3 second rule and they were really yummy anyway and no ill effects. Ok so thats not everyones cup of tea but another good tip for those on a tight budget is if I turn up at the fish cafes late at night they will almost give their stuff away. I guess fish is not the best thing to try and keep overnite and one night I took a whole load of fish and cumi cumi home for a song.
Since I have been staying in Mertasari I have made a few really good friends from Australia and NZ who are very kind to me and take me to lots of good eateries. One or the other of 2 are looking likely to take me back to Australia for a stay I think. Well thats what they said anyway.
