On the topic of leather generally. Inspect leather goods carefully before buying. I recently bought a leather belt from a very legit department store in denpesar. It was clearly stamped GENUINE LEATHER. On returning to Aust. the so called leather belt snapped in two. Definately not leather. So whether market shop or department store, don't rely on labeling. Be sure you can see the hide grain, then you will know it is real leather. I have never visited tommy's leather so I do not wan't to make any implications about his shop or his products. this is a general heads up for all people buying leather in bali.
