we have stayed in the flash resorts in legain, took a chance this time as we wanted to stay right in kuta within walking distance of everything. I will say also i have knee probs so walking is a issue till knee replacement. Any how i walked albiet slowly to most places ie the beach, discovery mall, poppies one and two. So that is the first big plus of the ida, yes its cheap we kept an open mind and thought as long as air con good and bed is comfy we will make the most of it. Turns out the best holiday ever with a huge range of guests alot our age 50s. The layout lends to a very social aspect as you can say hi to everyone walking past if you wish. The rooms yes were basic rather old, but they were cleaned every single day of our stay. We are staying again in october and are looking forward to once again meeting up with the staff who we found awesome. It depends on what you are looking for in accomodation as that equates to price you pay. On saying that never again will i stay in a huge resort, find them to be so unfriendly and you are just a number. enjoy your trip and if you stay the ida i am sure you will enjoy, just dont expect luxury, but its not a dive either.
