Hi Bliss

If you require a wheel chair, then yes you must book and ask for a w/chair for the return flight as well. Ideally, this should have been done at the time of booking your flight. While I have never had to show it, I always travel with a Dr's letter outlining my conditions/s and which also includes the need for a wheelchair. In this letter he specifies which medical equipment I will carrying as well as a list of my medication.

If you booked your flights directly with Garuda, ring them ASAP because there is usually a limit of 2 wheelchairs per flight, or contact your travel agent if you used one. However, given that time is scarce, maybe ring Garuda.

If like me, you can walk a short way, ask for a wheelchair from check-in to the plane door at your point of departure. They will also organise for your flight to be met at the plane door with a wheelchair for you and push you through and assist in the arrival procedures in Denpasar.

In terms of a walking stick, I too always take one and bring it on board. It is stowed on the floor in front of me. Mine is not collapsible.

If you have any other questions, I will leave my email open. Don't forget to delete the "no_spam" before my address.

Cheers
HB
