The domestic part of your trip would be under 'domestic' rules so not bound by the international limitations.
Jetstar dont have screens up or play a movie, but you can hire portable players that are pre-loaded with a number of various shows. Im my experience, they are not worth the $$ and they always run out before the back of the plane.
Ive never confirmed a Jetstar/AA type of flight. Just check online that the flight time hasnt changed.
Not sure about the luggage as have never done a double flight.
