I assume you haven't been to Bali recently if at all (or you wouldn't need to post). Newbies always get ripped off. But usually only by a dollar or 2 - on your budget though, that could add up.

I think you'd be pretty miserable trying to get by on $100/day for 3. You'd have to seek out the warungs where the locals eat, couldn't do day trips or things like Waterbom etc. No such thing as a "little bit of shopping" in Bali. The traffic is horrid so cab fares can be exey.

It's horrid having to watch every Rupiah. If you can, try to allow $150/day, live as cheaply as you can do enjoyably & perhaps you'll bring $ home.

Lots of info here on el cheapo places to eat, free things to do etc. Enjoy.
