A word of warning to those who book online. My wife and I initially booked our April Bali stay at the Ramayana however after reading a number of unflattering reviews and then the Legionella outbreak we decided to look elsewhere and got a better deal at the Rama. With ample time before the trip we cancelled the Ramayana reservation and printed off the cancellation confirmation email we received from the Ramayana. That was a month ago. Today, I checked the bank account for another unrelated reason and low and behold my credit card is overdrawn, I have been slugged an over limit fee and there is a debit transaction made by the Ramayana. I had to leave for work so I unleashed the wife onto the recalcitrant Hotel and the bank. Nothing heard from the Ramayana as yet but the bank are confident they can recoup are money however to do so it will take up 45 days. Apparently the best thing to do is after cancelling the reservation, cancel the credit card. Unfortunately any other transactions conducted on that card will fail. Not friggin happy man.
