(or "oh bankrupt" in a Balinese accent) is a pretty handy one at times.
It's the cry you'll hear from the shopkeepers when you tell them your paltry first offer when bargaining for something. They're letting you know in a single word that if they sell it to you for that price they'll go broke (or so they say).
It should also be your first cry when they make their equally ludicrous counteroffer.
The mere sound of that word from your mouth will suggest to the seller that you're no stranger to Bali and the bargaining process.
You can try it at some of the fixed price department stores everytime you pick up something with a price tag on it. Just whisper "bunkroopt" to the sales assistant. It wont get you any further discount, but it'll definitely get a giggle out of her.
When bargaining, always remember there's no such thing as 'the right price', if you're happy with the price you're paying, then the price is right.
In answer to your question, "boleh saya lihat" means "may I look?"
or "lihat lihat saja" means "I'm just looking".
If you really don't have any money ust say "bunkroopt" LOL
