If you have travel insurance that should cover it. If not you should probably ring air asia and find out directly from them. You could also look on their website for a list of fees and charges.
a couple of years ago I needed to cancel a flight, I rang them and as I had got a very cheap flight they said I would be better to do a no show then apply for a refund of taxes after the event. I did that and they issued me a refund. Like I said that was a couple of years ago so things may have changed a bit.
