A word of warning... don't take a local person with you to Unagi, and don't go with a driver, as the prices will be higher.

I shopped there alone a couple of months ago and a young assistant followed me around giving me the prices on the items that caught my interest (the prices are coded on the products). I didn't buy anything that day but went back the next day with my partner (who is Balinese), so he could carry the things I wanted to buy.

When I again went to look for the same products, the same girl quoted me prices that were 20% higher. After a frustrating half an hour of arguing with the assistant and then asking for the manager, we were told that Unagi paid commission to locals who brought tourists there and that if I wanted the price quoted previously, I would have to come alone.
