mr confused, if you had choosen a room away from the "sentral" you would have had a better nights sleep and might have enjoyed your stay better. There is a lot of noise in the "sentral" I agree on that. I have a house on the island well away from both the hotels and mosques and have never had a bad nights sleep. Sorry you feelt so bored, but the main idea of going to the islands is to relax, swim, snorkel and enjoy talking to the locals. There are lots of other things to do: fishing, go for trips to nearby Meno and Air , diving, horseback riding, rent a kayak, walk around the island, walk up the hill and look at the beautiful view. I have been on the island since 1995 and seen a lot of changes, not all to be appriciated but the island is still a nice place to visit
