Senggigi or Kuta ??

We will be visiting Lombok for 4 days in August & was wondering what area (SENGGIGI or KUTA ) BTF members would recommend.

We are happy to hire a car to see other parts of the island.

Also can you suggest a suitable Hotel in either area. Preferably one that has A/C & a bar where we could meet fellow travellers.
