I flew to Bali last June/July and purhased the VIP and got thru no problems with friends choosing not to pay for VIP, they waited in line for over 2 hrs. I'm pretty sure there were only 2 windows open. Flew in again end of November and didn't bother to check flight stats or check with BTF and didn't pay for VIP, all windows were open and got thru in probably 1/2 hr. All good.
