If you go to Medibank even if your not a member they will Insure your friend, if you say you have pre existing condition they may not cover you for that but still insure you for other accidents, I personally would not say that she had an attack in the last 12 months and she should be carrying medication for treatment as some of the hospitaals and medical centres here cannot treat the condition. She should be also be aware that peanuts are used extensively over here in many dishes as is MSG in just about every food as I have found out due to my allergy and some times called different names.
