I have stayed at Ibunda Inn - I found it a great location and, also, once off the street, it was very quiet and peaceful with lovely, well-tended gardens. The staff were lovely. I had the cottage at the very end of the garden which overlooked the rice fields (in an earlier post, I mentioned one of my lovely memories was watching the fireflies in the rice fields at night, like dancing fairy lights - that was at the Ibunda Inn). Mine had a great bathroom - some of the cottages were better than others. I got mine as a walk-in, so was able to pick which one after looking through what they had available. Also, if they don't have a room, the place next door (facing the inn, to your right)is excellent for a budget establishment. The name escapes me, but it was something simple - maybe Wayan's Place? Also got that as a walk-in when the Ibunda was full. The only thing I didn't like about the Ibunda was having people come through trying to flog paintings when you were trying to relax - but they weren't overly persistent. Haven't been to Tegal Sari but sounds lovely from the other posts. Wherever you stay, I'm sure you will love just being in Ubud :)
