There are plenty of genuine sports shops in Centro, and opposite Matahari is Athletes Foot. You can get trainers for up to half the cost if they are on sale. The latest season will be close to Australian prices.
I suggest you get fitted at an Athletes Foot here first, decide which shoes are right for you, then purchase in Bali or online.
I got Ryka's from Amazon for $70.00, and they are $160.00 retail here.
If you want to run or do a lot of walking, it is important to have the right X trainers.
