Thanks to everybody for your helpful information.
He is on Parole not on Bail. He committed the crime and did the time and deserves a second chance.
He will seek legal advice but I told him about this fantastic forum and that he would get some BAGGING but most people on this site would have some helpful comment (in the true Aussie spirit), that might get him started. His Parole Officer has said he can leave the country but yes I think legal advice would be a good idea first.
