DEET and mosquitos

Have been reading all the info re the bad Mosquito problem. We are heading over to Paradise in early Jan and are a bit concerned as the mossies love us.

We have Bushmans repellant but I have seen mention of DEET. Is this readily available( Melbourne)and if so where? I haven't seen it but we are more than happy to have a go at anything that will save us from being eaten!!
