And I think it was dana who posted an interesting link a few weeks ago about the Aust. Army malaria unit's study of repellants. After reading that (& having had a couple of patients come back from Bali with dengue in the past month) I've been using 80% DEET for my trip (back today). Glad to say fewer bites than usual, no dengue (yet) and no neurological side effects - but it tastes like crap. Probably not wise to use this strength on kids tho there seems little hard evidence regarding risk.
