Probably not very exciting for you but if you havnt been then it is something new and different.
We missed the ferry over, but in Bali nothing is a problem and there is always someone happy to help you out. We ended up hiring a big boat thing (think it was a diving boat) for not much more than plus a third of the total cost of the ferry ride. As soon as we got on the staff (about5) gave us a bottle of water each and ushered us up the front. They preceded to lay lots of mattrees out for us. We laid back and had an uninterrupted view and had the whole boat to ourselves, felt like millionairs on the trip over. Landed, was offered transport and bike hire and our feet were still wet. Found some digs in a home stay them off to explore. Hired two motor bikes and off we went. I came off (sand cravel on an uphill climb)and landed in a deep ditch by the side of the road, good ol Razz (in fits of laughter and cranky cause I was so stupid, left me there to fend for myself and shook his head when he realised I was to stupid to get going again. Back then it was nice and quiet on the road and hardly any traffic. Told the guy that I stacked it when we got back and he just walked around, had a half hearted look, and said no probs, phew. Stayed 2 or 3 nights and caught the public ferry back. Most interesting part of this trip the ferry ride back, but thats a nother story. Overall a great trip.
