I also hired a fisherman and his canoe in Candi Dasa. A couple of times we went fishing (caught nothing) and another time he took me to White Sands Beach(swimming/snorkeling). The best part of the trips was the beautiful colored waters, the stunning views back to shore and sharing the obvious fondness the local fisherman had for the sea. Much better than any organized tour boat.
