We flew Strategic on 16th November Brisbane/PtHedland/Bali for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed the flight. Cabins/seats etc were cleaner than clean, food and drinks are free although food was basic...quiche/muffins...plenty of tea, coffee and water ...that's better than $3.plus on your credit card every time you order a drink on Virgin. Passengers were totally different...no families, no bogans. Many were miners and their families coming or going from PT Hedland. The one hour + stopover at Pt Hedland was very interesting as I had never seen such classic Aussie countryside...red,red earth for miles with a mining town popping up out of nowhere,and what seemed like a local country hall for the airport. (Yes it IS airconditioned and has a snack bar/clean toilets.) From there it is only 70 minutes to Denpasar. Baggage allowance is also 23kgs so maybe you can pack your suitcase with extra towels, sheets, clothing to be dropped off at Gloria Jeans Coffee shop in Kuta for the Bali Kids Orphanage.!!!
We are flying Strategic again in Feb 2011.
