to get in Bali. Last time I was there was many years ago, and things have probably changed a lot. My first trip to CD, we planned to stay for 4 nights. We left after the second night. Was not my cuppa tea, everyone is different. There is some shopping in Sanur and I enjoyed shopping at Hardies in the main street. Kuta is really good for shopping, especially at Mataharis.
If you find it too quiet, you could always take a day trip to Sanur, check out some accommodation and just pack up and stay in Sanur. You may be lucky to just walk in off the street and score accommodation at the Swaztika (not too expensive) not far from Hardies and the beach walk is really nice there.
