We picked up one of those special deals and used it this year at Bali Shangrila. We stayed 3 nights and that was more than enough for us - in fact we were wishing we'd gone home after the second night.
There's plenty to see on day trips near by but very little in Candi Dasa itself - but we'd done most of the sightseeing in the area on previous trips. There's snorkeling and boat trips etc if you're into that sort of thing. There's not much at all in the way of shopping. A couple of shops we looked in and bought a few nick-nacky bits and pieces as it was all cheap but not a lot of variety really.
I wouldn't stay there again.
