Yes! they were excellent (eventually) when I fell and fractured my foot last year in Bali. My husband looked after me for the rest of the holiday (10 days as I was non weight bearing) Dr's report stated I should be upgraded on the flight home and I could travel with a non medical person. 1Cover refused to pay for my husband upgrade so we were forced into paying for him as I needed his help.
On our return 1Cover rang to see if had arrived home safely. I told them (nicely) I was going to take my case to the Insurance Ombudsman as I felt the Dr's report was ambiguous (1Cover agreed that it was) 2 hours later they rang back and said my case had been reviewed and they would reimburse us the cost which was about US$560.
They also refused to repay the phone calls amounting to from memory about $AU150. Again I had to fight and proved that the medical assist emergency free number did not work from Bali and we still got charged for the so called reverse charge no. I also directed them to the BTF as co-indecently someone had posted that the 1Cover phone number didn't work.
1Cover also refused to pay for transport costs back to the hospital as I was told I have to return and have an anticoagulant injection prior to the flight... just as well as I'd already developed a DVT as a result of being immobile. We let that go as we were happy with getting money for the flight and phone calls.
We had annual travel insurance which I tried to renew for another 12 months, but as we are both over 60 they wouldn't allow it.
