together..
like i said before, just because your daughter screwed up, doesnt mean everyone screws up.
By the agre of 20, i had been on 5 or 6 "schoolies" style holidays with groups of 20 - 30 friends. Never did we get ourselves in this type of trouble. Never were we nuisances to other hotel guests. Yes we drank, yes we partied - but we still managed to be decent human beings, and we all looked out for each other.
By the age of 23 i had been on two round the world trips (one lasting 12 months, the other 9 months) - again apart from getting mugged in Jakarta, and robbed in New Zealand, and running out of cash a few times... no problems.
So when you say that - no matter how you bring your child up, as soon as your back is turned it all goes out the window - you are wrong. This is only applicable to SOME children.
I have seen plenty of aussie schoolies in Bali..and 75% of them were no trouble at all, and even the ones (staying in the rooms next to me at Masa Inn) that were a pain in the arse for the first few nights, actually calmed down and were ok for the rest of the trip.
Yes you get plenty of wrecked teenagers in Bounty / Paddys etc.. but ya get just as many absolutely blotto 30 / 40 / 50yr olds and older. The most annoying and inconsiderate group in the hotel while i was there a few weeks ago, were a bunch of 10 pensioners.
Just dont tar everyone with the same brush yeah.
