I was in Kuta last May/June and is was apparently uni holidays for the Javanese. The hotel I stayed in was booked out with Javanese uni students, I was the only westerner there. They had 6 to 8 in a room (all males) and let me tell you they would put any Aussie schoolies or for that matter any AFL team to shame!!! Never have I seen so much sex, drugs or alcohol abuse in all my life! It was so bad that I ended up moving hotels, just couldn't stand it anymore and I have never done that before in 17 trips to Bali and I have stayed at the Barong at end of season time and that was tame compared to these guys!!!! The owner of the hotel is Javanese and he said that basically they come to Bali to "cut loose".
