The Senggigi area is the main tourist area of Lombok. There is a fair bit of good music and some decent restaurants there.
(they may even sing our old favourite about eating a petunia)
A decent bar is named The Office and is run by a good bloke named Howard.
We stayed at The Santosa which was 500,000 per night. However there are a number of smaller places available.
Accommodation for 300,000 is easy enough to get. Places such as the Bukit Hotel are quite decent.
It is well worth taking a boat ride to the Gilis while there. This time we again stayed at the Bird Park on Gili Meno.

Gili T is the party island however some times a decent hotel can end up being beside an all night music venue.
If taking the boat across try to avoid the public harbour, the local folk are not the nicest of people. Private concerns such as the one run by Nigel & Jacqui from Scallywags are far less hassle.
