I usually budget $150 a day for us as a couple. We are both drinkers and eat out a fair bit. We also hire motorbikes and do tours each time we go. I love shopping and always seem to bring back heaps for the kids and now grand kids and buy the usual DVD's etc. I quiet often bring quiet a bit back but I am happier to take more than less so it does not limit what we want to do. I also take a credit card as a back up. I am sure you could get away with a $100 a day depending on what you wanted to do.
