Better to get 60 day visa prior to arrival than mucking around going to & fro the Immigration Office.

There are three Imigrasi offices in Denpasar. The Imigrasi to extend the VOA is just outside the airport NOT the Imigrasi office inside the airport.
To get to this Imigrasi office, if you are driving into the Airport, from the bypass, after the traffic lights the road curves to the right. Instead go straight ahead (parallel to the runway) and it is around 600 meters on the right. All the counter staff speak adequate English.
• Take a black pen, the form has to be in black.
• Take photocopies of the first two passport pages, a photocopy of your current VOA and an extra copy of your ticket out of Indonesia.
• Apply 7 days before the Visa expires, according to a small sign on a window.
• Enter the main office, turn sharp left and go to the Cashier (Kasir) and ask for your forms and yellow Folder to hold them. No Charge. ( Note: Ignore the sponsor questions if extending a VOA)
• Fill them out, go to counter 2 with a copy of your Passport details page and current visa page. Plus a proof of departure such as copy of an e-ticket.
• Hand the documents over, the clerk will have a quick look, then ask you to sit down. After few minutes he will call you by name and give you a receipt and tell you when to come back to pay and then a day after that come back to collect.

Cost is RP250 000

Remember they are a Govt. office so dress appropriately & they are closed public holidays, so allow extra processing time.
