Vodka prices and availability

Hello BTF folks. It's been many years since I posted here, but if you're reading this then I guess my login still works =)

I'm considering heading to the Gilis (Gili T) next year.

Just wondering what the price is for Smirnoff vs local product. I know there were extra taxes that made spirits very expensive for a while there, so what's the go?

Alternatively, is it worth taking in extra duty free and paying the 'fee' if I get caught?

Any advice appreciated, cheers.
